Bollywood actress Rani Mukherji is in a happy phase these days. The diva, who is already enjoying motherhood, has other reason to celebrate today. The new mom Rani has turned 3 today. The actress married Aditya Chopra and gave birth to a baby girl Adira. The ‘Mardaani’ actress, who has ruled the hearts of millions, is indeed quite busy these days with her daughter. Many people are not aware of the fact that Rani Mukherji made her debut on the silver screen at the age of 14 with a Bengali movie ‘Biyer Phool’.
Later she made her debut in B-town in 1996 release movie ‘Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat’. Though the movie bombed at the box-office, it was Aditya Chopra who noticed the potential in Rani.
Rani Mukherji was not the first choice of director Karan Johar for ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. The role was first offered to Twinkle Khanna.
Rani Mukherji is the first actor ever to win both the best actress and best supporting actress trophies in a single year 2005 at the Filmfare. She had won the awards for Kunal Kohli’s ‘Hum Tum’ and Mani Ratnam’s ‘Yuva’ respectively.
Rani was offered the role to play the lead role in Hollywood movie ‘The Namesake’. However, the diva had to let go off the opportunity owing to her schedule for ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’. The role eventually went to Tabu who grabbed a lot of appreciation for her performance.
She has been the B-town celeb to have been invited to the dinner in Honour of Pakistan’s former President Pervez Musharraf.
Rani Mukherji was the only woman to feature in the Filmfare Power List in 2005.
Interestingly, Rani Mukherji has never endorsed a fairness cream.
Rani is a trained Odissi dance and has pursued her passion for 10 years.
