Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor broke many paradigms laid down by the society and inspired many people when he became a single parent by choice via surrogacy to Laksshya. The duo was spotted today at Mukteshwar temple in Juhu, Mumbai.
The toddler turned two this June and Tusshar admits that he is a hands-on parent and loves every single bit of this relationship.
The actor recently talked about life after embracing parenthood and work.
"I was thinking about it for some time before I finally had the baby because I was running out of time. I am not married yet. I may or may not in the future. I felt time was running out fast and I couldn’t wait to have a family, have a child. That’s something I won’t be able to do as I grow older. I can always get married. That’s why I decided to become a single parent. A chance meeting with Mr Prakash Jha on my way to Tirupati changed things. He guided and helped me with the whole process. He told me how this is something many people have done and it is not something new. Meeting him really opened the doors for me", he was quoted as saying to a leading daily.
The 41-year-old actor said, "My child is my focus and I plan my day according to his timetable," IANS quoted him as saying. Speaking of his decision of having Laksshya and the response from the society, he said that often gets messages from people saying that he inspired them. "I am 41 now. At around 35, 37, I started getting paternal instincts for my pets. I also began to wonder then how would it feel like to hold your child? I wanted to be a father and I wanted to start a family, so I did it. People then messaged me that I am inspiring them," he said.

Tusshar Kapoor also said that he doesn't want to 'miss out on any experience' of Laksshya's childhood and doesn't mind taking him along to his work. He had taken him along while shooting for Rohit Shetty's film Golmaal Again. Talking about which, he said, "I spend most of the day with my child and I don't want to miss out on any experience with my child. For Golmaal Again shooting, I took him along with me since I didn't want to stay away from him for long. He had fun on the sets," IANS quoted him as saying.
