Amrita Rao graces launch event of matrimonial site ‘LoveVivah’

  • Weddings are not less than festival in our country and searching a right match is indeed a tough task for many. 

According to a report, India has over 1,500 matrimonial websites but very few are popular. And the latest one to join the industry, which is estimated to generate Rs 1,500 crore in revenue by 2017, is ‘LoveVivah’.

  • The website -- www.lovevivah.com -- a venture of Tanisha System Inc., was launched on Friday at an event organised in New Delhi. The launch event was enthralled by beautiful Bollywood actress Amrita Rao, who recently married boyfriend RJ Anmol.

  • Gorav Aggarwal, president, Tanisha Systems Inc. and LoveVivah, said that the website is completely different from other matrimonial websites as it requires Aadhar card verification which minimises woes of matchmaking and also forgery. 

“We understand the discrepancies associated with the existing matrimonial process and hence we have brought in the mandatory Aadhaar verification check to ensure the authenticity of the profiles,” he said.

  • Amrita Rao, who graced the event with her presence, said that love in any relationship is very important and parents shouldn’t set a timeframe before their kids to get married.

“Falling in love is the most important thing in any relationship… when you marry, it is not between two individuals, it is between the two different families,” she said.

  • When asked about the connection between Love‘Vivah’ and her 2006 superhit ‘Vivah’, Amrita replied, “The role of a mediator is very crucial. In my film, Bhagat chacha, a role played by Manoj Joshi, had played the role of a mediator and here LoveVivah is playing the same role, so people can trust LoveVivah to find their right match.”

The 35-year-old actress starred in films like ‘Ishq Vishk’ and ‘Main Hoon Na’. Her 2006 release, ‘Vivah’ gained her national fame which depicted the journey of two individuals from engagement to marriage. She was last seen in ‘Singh Saab The Great’ and ‘Satyagraha’.
