• India has recorded a total of 17,265 coronavirus cases till now, the Union Health Ministry said during the government's daily briefing on the coronavirus situation in the country.
• Luv Agarwal, the ministry's spokesperson, noted that 2,546 people have been cured of a coronavirus infection till date.
• He said that 36 coronavirus-linked deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours.
• The enforcing of lockdown has brought down the doubling rate of coronavirus in the country by more than 50 per cent, he said.
• The doubling rate has decreased from 7.5 days to 3.5 days, he said.

• The Union Home Ministry cautioned that lockdown restrictions must be followed strictly, as it warned that violators will be dealt with strictly.
• Punya Salila Srivastava, the ministry spokesperson, said that the situation in Jaipur, Indore, Mumbai and Jalpaigudi districts was worrying at present.

• Farmers have been exempted from the lockdown restrictions beginning Monday, the Union Agriculture Ministry said.
• All mandis across the country allowed to stay open, it said.
