New Delhi: A 29-year-old cancer patient married the love of his life in an emotional ceremony at a Philippines hospital, just hours before dying.


Rowden Go Pangcoga had been busy planning his dream wedding to Leizl for July, when stage 4 liver cancer was diagnosed in May.

A video that captured the beautiful and heartbreaking ceremony earlier this month has quickly gone viral, with more than 4 million views since it was uploaded on June 18.

Early this year, Rowden and Leizl decided to get married on July 8, 2014, Rowden's 30th birthday.



Together with their adorable 2-year-old daughter, they already had a perfect family.

Then a twist of fate, Rowden got diagnosed with stage IV liver cancer in late May. His last request was to marry his one true love.

After 12hours of preparations, his dream was fulfilled. Unable to take him outside the hospital, we brought the church to him. It was like a heartbreaking fairytale.



Rowden Go Pangcoga's brother, Hasset, explained that his brother and his partner Leizl had decided earlier this year to marry on Rowden's 30th birthday next month, but in May Rowden was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer.

The groom's last wish was for the couple, who have a two-year-old daughter, to go ahead with their wedding.

His last request was to marry his one true love.



After 12 hours of preparations, his dream was fulfilled.

Friends and family gathered at the bedside switch between laughing and crying as the couple share their first kiss as husband and wife.



Rowden's brother gave thanks "For giving us enough time to give Rowden what he wanted, and show him how loved he was.

Rowden passed away on June 11, less than 10 hours after the couple made their vows.

He is survived by his wife Leizel May, daughter Zakiah Rowzel, mother Lorelei, and brothers Hasset & Hisham.
