The release of other three key conspirators was earlier suspended by the apex court Feb 20.
The court Thursday adjourned the hearing and directed the listing of the matter March 26 as Additional Solicitor General Siddarth Luthra, appearing for the centre, sought time to revert to Tamil Nadu's response.
On Feb 19, a day after the death sentence of V. Sriharan alias Murugan, T. Suthendraraja alias Santhan and A.G. Perarivalan alias Arivu was commuted, Tamil Nadu communicated to the centre its proposal to release all seven convicts in the Rajiv assassination case.
Rajiv Gandhi was killed in an attack by a suicide bomber of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam from Sri Lanka May 21, 1991, in Sriperumbudur near Chennai.
