South Eastern Railway records 18.46 pc growth in freight traffic
Kolkata: South Eastern Railway (SER) has recorded a growth of 18.46 per cent in earnings from freight traffic during the first seven months of 2013-14 in comparison to the corresponding period last fiscal. During April
Of this, iron ore comprised 42.61 million tonnes till October against 39.27 million tonnes during first seven months of last fiscal, the sources said.
The Railway zone, headquartered here, has loaded 4.58 million tonnes more than the Railway Board's laid down target till October 2013, an increase of 6.31 per cent, the sources added.
