Bhadohi (UP), Dec 6: Expelled SP leader Amar Singh today threatened to file an affidavit in the Supreme Court with the details of the disproportionate assets case against party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav if he fails to rein in his party leaders from making statements against him.

"Mulayam should ask his partymen to hold their tongue...I am not a traitor, but if the attitude (of SP leaders) remains the same, then I can open the entire issue in disproportionate assets case against him (Yadav) by filing an affidavit in the Supreme Court on February 12," he said.

"Those opposing me are saying absurd things about me," said Singh, currently undertaking a march to mobilise support for creation of a separate Purvanchal state to be carved out of Uttar Pradesh.

Singh's statement came in the wake of prominent Muslim leader Azam Khan's remark who rejoined SP on Saturday.

Returning to the parent party, Khan, who was expelled from the SP a year ago on charges of anti-party activities, had described Singh as an "agent and a supplier".

Alleging that the police and the administration were removing hoardings carrying his image, Singh, who floated Lok Manch party said, "If there is any reaction from the people on this issue, then the administration and police will be solely responsible." PTI
