Ahmedabad (Gujarat), Apr 23: Police on Sunday night raided a rave party going on at a flat in Chinai Bagh Society near CG Road here and seized large quantity of liquor. Nineteen females and 22 males were detained.
There is complete liquor prohibition in Gujarat.
The high-profile party was in full swing at the flat of a builder named Harsh Sanat Shah, when the police, on a secret tip-off, surrounded the flat and began the raid.
The young couples began to run helter-skelter, but almost all of them were nabbed, says Paresh Solanki, PI, Crime Branch.
Rave parties in secrecy are a common occurrence in Gujarat because of complete liquor prohibition.
Police have send the blood sample of all the detained persons for lab test. Alcohol report will decide the course of action against the detainees.
