Police Reforms Bill passed by TN assembly
Chennai: A Bill seeking to replace the ordinance on police reforms as part of its efforts to comply with Supreme Court directives was passed by the Tamil Nadu Assembly yesterday.The House adopted the Tamil Nadu
It also provides for setting up The Police Complaints Authority, which shall inquire into allegations of ‘serious misconduct' (rape, death and grievous hurt in police custody) against police personnel in supervisory ranks, on a complaint from a victim in the form of a sworn affidavit.
