Kolkata: An assistant sub inspector of Kolkata police was yesterday admitted in hospital after he was hit by a speeding vehicle.
Police said the offender has been arrested. ASI Indrajit Haldar of Shyampukur PS was performing a vehicle checking duty on Bidhan Sarani, when a speeding tempo hit him. He was seriously injured following which he was admitted to a city hospital, where he was put on ventilator.
The driver of the speeding vehicle was later on arrested.
