“As a part of this process, a Social Media Communication Hub', a one-stop place, for all communication needs of the government on the social media platforms based on the ‘Hub-and-Spoke' model has also been set up,” Javadekar said.
He suggested that to ensure the success of the Prime Minister's vision, the Social Media Communication Hub should be utilised to highlight the achievements and policy initiatives of various ministries.
“The I&B ministry would also facilitate the working of your accounts too on Twitter/Facebook platforms”, Javadekar said in his letter to the other ministries.
“While a New Media Wing had been established by the I&B ministry in the past, we are planning that other ministries should actively use this platform,” an official said.
