“The Congress party has had towering leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shashtri and Indira Gandhi but we never sought votes in their names and instead urged the voters to vote for Congress,” he added.
Blaming the “poor management” of the previous BJP government for the present financial crunch in the state, the Chief Minister said it was because its financial indiscipline that the situation has become so bad.
“I wish the Finance Commission would appreciate our problems and requirements and give sufficient funds to overcome the situation,” he said.
