Booming IT industry The Indian IT industry has become globally competitive.Many leading multinational companies worldwide look to India for high skilled and rapid IT services.We have an edge over everyone else, when it comes to skills, products and services. 3. Best example of a Democracy The Indian democracy system is the most remarkable example. It is the world's largest democracy.The various democratic institutions, their movements and the active involvement of the public in the country's affairs are praiseworthy. 4. Yoga The age old practice of Yoga has become popular in the world.Foreigners are adopting this practice as it cures respiratory problems, improve stamina, gives strength. 5. Namaste Namaste, a welcoming gesture of India. It translates to, “I bow to you”. It is a form of showing respect to elders, guests, even people younger to us. Another notion that India put forth to the world is, “Athithi Devo Bhava”, which means “Guest is God”.It is our belief that we should treat a guest like God and give him the best of services and comfort during his stay. 6. Zero and trigonometry India has contributed a lot in mathematics. The concept of zero is attributed to India.The greatest Indian mathematician Aryabhatta gave the important concept.The Decimal System and Trigonometry too originated in India.The value of “Pi” was first estimated in India.
