New Delhi: Number of online registrations for Delhi University's undergraduate courses shot up to over 1.3 lakh today.
"The number of registrations till 5.30 PM today were 1,35,549. A total of 68,857 applicants have already made the payment," a senior varsity official said.
Since the online registrations process opened on May 28 the university has received 46,964 applications in general category, 14,106 OBC, 6,404 SC, 1,290 ST and 145 in Persons With Disability category, he said.
Also, pre-admission counselling session 'Open Days', which was to end on Saturday was postponed due to the varsity convocation and will now have its final class tomorrow at the conference centre on the North Campus.
The online registration process will continue till June 15 while offline forms will be accepted at the nine registration centres (colleges) from June 5 to June 15.
The eight registration centres where offline forms will be accepted are Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm College, Dyal Singh College, Gargi College, Maharaja Agrasen College, PG DAV College, Rajdhani College, Shyam Singh College and SGTB Khalsa College.
The offline applications for admissions through sports and extra Curricular activities (ECA) quota are being accepted at the respective colleges.
Centralised optical mark recognition (OMR) forms are available on the university website - www.du.ac.in - and students will have to make the payment through internet banking.
The fee for general category students is Rs 100 whereas for reserved category students the admission form will cost Rs 50.
Online applications for minority institutions St Stephen's College and Jesus and Mary College, which have separate admission rules are also being accepted.
