Ranchi: Lakhs of devotees yesterday congregated at the banks of rivers, rivulets and ponds across Jharkhand and offered obeisance to the setting Sun on the occasion of Chhath festival.
Governor Syed Ahmed, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, several ministers, former union minister Subodh Kant Sahay and other political leaders joined the devotees to mark the occasion at different places.
The festival will end with the devotees offering prayers (arghya) to the rising Sun tomorrow.
