The snow clearing work is rapidly going on on the traditional routes of Amarnath Yatra i.e. Phalgam and Baltal.
Owing to the massive snowfall and avalanche several resting points, where pilgrims stop during the journey, have been completely destroyed. Since fortnight, the snow clearing team has just able to cleared up the way till “Sheshnaag”.
The chairman of Shrine Board and state Governor Shri N N Vohra is himself looking into the all prospects of Amarnath Yatra. An aerial introspection of the Phalgam and Baltal route has also been done by him during the course.
