Nashik, May 14: Akhil Bharatiya Shri Panch Nirmohi AKhara and All India Akhara Parishad have threatened to boycott the upcoming Kumbh Mela, if their demand to reserve certain land to set up a sadhu gram on a permanent basis was not met.
“Instead of reserving adequate land for Kumbh Mela to set up a sadhu gram on a permanant basis, the district administration is giving it to the land-mafias. If it is not made availalble for the 2015-16 Kumbh Mela, sadhus, mahants will boycott the event to be held at Nashik,” Akhil Bharatiya Shri Panch Nirmohi Akhara president and All India Akhara Parishad secretary Rajendradas told reporters here yesterday.
“If the administration does not allow proper land as done in 1991 and 2003 Kumbh Mela, we will boycott it,” he added.
