Muzaffarnagar Lok Sabha election 2019 result: BJP's Sanjeev Balyan leads RLD's Ajit Singh by 6526 votes

Congress, SP, BSP and BJP have been able to secure victories in Muzaffarnagar in last four Lok Sabha elections.

Sanjeev Balyan

Counting of votes for the Muzaffarnagar Lok Sabha constituency is underway, and BJP's Sanjeev Kumar Balyan is leading RLD's Ajit Singh by 6526 votes.

BJP's Sanjeev Kumar Balyan is the sitting MP from Muzaffarnagar. In 2014 Lok Sabha election, Balyan defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's (BSP) Kadir Rana by a huge margin.

Balyan was able to secure 59 per cent votes while Rana secured only 22 per cent of votes. 

Muzaffarnagar parliamentary constituency has 15,88,475 voters out of which about 55 per cent are men and 45 per cent are women.

The Muzaffarnagar parliamentary constituency comprises of five assembly constituencies.

The seven phases of the Lok Sabha polls 2019 covered a total of 543 constituencies. Voting in the first phase was conducted on April 11. 

Simultaneous elections were held to the assemblies of Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, and Odisha -- the results for which will also be out today.
