On Jayalalithaa's first death anniversary, black-clad EPS, OPS lead silent march

Jayalalithaa breathed her last on December 5, 2016 at the Apollo Hospital after being admitted for 75 days following prolonged illness.

On the first death anniversary of former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa, a large number of AIADMK leaders and cadres including party veterans K Palaniswami and O Panneerselvam paid tributes to their 'Amma'.

AIADMK coordinator and deputy chief minister, O Panneerselvam and party co-coordinator and chief minister K Palaniswami led a silent procession of party workers from Anna Salai to Jayalalithaa's mausoleum on Marina beach. They also observed two minute silence after pledging to stay united and protect the party.

Most of the party workers, including the two leaders and many other ministers, were clad in black shirts.
