Samajwadi Party leader Jaya Bachchan is likely to be the party's candidate for the upcoming Rajya Sabha polls, sources said.
The biennial elections will be held on March 23 to replace the 58 Rajya Sabha members who are set to retire later this year. The counting of votes will also take place on the same day.
The terms of the Rajya Sabha members from 16 states expires in April and May.
