"A last-minute technical glitch led to the unfortunate delay of the flight AI854(PNQ-DEL) of 2nd Oct. As Air India accords priority to safety issues, the flight could not be operated before rectification of the issues," Air India said in a series of tweets.

"In this process we understand that Pax faced inconvenience as they could not be deboarded before clearance. We assure you that Air India is doing its best to minimise inconvenience to pax when such unforeseen situations arise. We apologise for the inconvenience caused," it added.

As many as 150 passengers onboard the Pune-Delhi Air India flight complained that when the flight landed in Pune late on Tuesday night after developing a technical snag, the air-conditioner inside the flight was not working and the doors of the aircraft were kept closed.
