Nutritionists suggest that mixing foods can be a healthy option but it is not necessary that it is always healthy. Including a variety of food items in your diet can help prevent nutritional deficiencies. At the same time, there are some foods in which mixing can cause harm instead of benefit. What kind of food combinations should be avoided?

1. Fruits with food

We often eat fruits to add a sweet taste to our food. Whereas nutritionists suggest that fruits should not be consumed with food. Eating these together may cause digestive problems. Fruits should be eaten separately as breakfast. Apart from this, also keep in mind that there should be a sufficient time gap between food and fruits.

2. Fatty meat and cheese

Consuming cheese with fatty meats and saturated meats can significantly increase saturated fat and sodium levels. This can increase the risk of heart disease and also affect your overall health. To balance your diet, choose lean meat and eat low-fat cheese.

3. Milk with citrus fruits

Citrus fruits like oranges contain acid. If it is mixed with milk, this acid can curdle the milk and cause digestive problems. Therefore, avoid consuming them together and keep a sufficient time gap between them.

4. Iron and Calcium

Mixing any kind of dairy product with any meat can be a bad choice. Several experts have suggested that mixing meat with milk can be very harmful to your body.
