Popular TV actress Rubina Dilaik who is garnering praise for her off-beat role in Shakti Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, is all set to walk the aisle with long-time boyfriend Abhinav Shukla. The actress herself has confirmed the news which will make you go jumpy with happiness. While speaking to Bombay Times, Rubina Dilaik confirmed the news of her wedding with actor boyfriend Abhinav Shukla. She even revealed the time of the year when they’ll be exchanging their wedding vows.
She said, “Yes we are taking our relationship forward to a new phase… a phase where we will celebrate each other’s imperfection and create memories for a lifetime.”
Abhinav Shukla joined in a said that they are yet to finalise few important things for the wedding like the date and venue.
He said, “Yes, we are getting married in June. We are yet to zero in on a date as we have a couple of options. The venue too is to be finalised. There was no pressure from either side. I was very clear that I won’t get married until I find the person I can be myself with and Rubina is just that. Also, we didn’t need any convincing to make up our minds. We just decided that we needed to take our relationship to the next level after dating for so long.”
“I first informed her parents and my family connected with hers. I did bring up the topic of marriage with her, but it wasn’t followed by a dramatic Hollywood-like proposal of going down on my knees and popping the question,” he added.
According to the report, the wedding will be a blend of Himachali and Punjabi wedding as Rubina and Abhinav hail from Himachal Pradesh and Punjab respectively. Another interesting fact is that it was Abhinav who pushed Rubina to take up the role of a transgender in Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki.
The couple met each other through a common friend during Ganpati celebrations. They worked together in a TV show Choti Bahu. Ever since then, their dating game is going stronger day by day.
