Seethakathi trailer: Vijay Sethupathi's amazing transformation into an aged actor breaks the internet

The trailer of Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi's new film Seethakathi is out, and what is garnering maximum attention is Vijay's look of an old man. The actor plays Ayya Adhimoolam in the film, who is a veteran drama artiste and actor. But things start getting ugly when one day he suddenly disappears, leaving his films' directors in the lurch, which forces them to make a complaint with the producer's council.

Kollywood's veteran director Bharathiraja is also a part of this film and plays the role of a director. It was reported that initially, he was approached for the role of Ayya, but he refused.

Vijay has used heavy prosthetics to carry off the look of an old person, and after watching the trailer, it can be said that he has done a convincing job. Fans can't get over the scene from the trailer where he kneels down on the stage, and says, "I am a tired old man. I, myself, have become history." Several fans commented that it brought tears to their eyes.

Seethakathi has been written and helmed by Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom director Balaji Tharaneetharan, and has a huge starcast, including veteran director J.Mahendran, Bagavathi Perumal, Archana, and Gayathrie, among others.

A Govind Vasantha musical, Seethakathi has Saraskanth's cinematography and R Govindaraj is the editor. It is expected to hit theatres on December 20 after it was postponed from a November 16 release.
