Los Angeles, Feb 5: Actress Helen Mirren says she always wanted to have children, but accepted the fact when she was unable to have any.
The 67-year-old married director Taylor Hackford in 1997, but couldn't start a family.
"It was not my destiny. I kept thinking it would be, waiting for it to happen, but it never did, and I didn't care what people thought," Vogue magazine quoted Mirren as saying.
However, Mirren has two step children from Hackford's previous marriages.
