Celebs react to Saroj Khan’s remark on casting couch in Bollywood

Saroj Khan’s shocking remark on casting couch in Bollywood has created a storm everywhere. The choreographer was asked to comment on Sri Reddy’s nude protest over casting couch in Tollywood. To which she replied, “"It is not new. Someone or the other always tries to take an advantage of a girl. The government officials do it too, then why are we only behind the film industry?”. Now, Sri Reddy has reacted to Saroj Khan’s remark.

Speaking to ANI, Sri Reddy said that she has lost respect for Saroj Khan.

"I lost respect for you Saroj ma'am. Being an elder you should give a good path to young actresses. It is giving a wrong indication that you have to be a slave to producers: Sri Reddy (actress who alleged that women are sexual exploited by producers) on Saroj Khan's remark”, the Telugu actress was quoted as saying to the news agency.

Ranbir Kapoor, who will be seen next in Sanjay Dutt biopic Sanju, said that he has never faced casting couch in the film industry. "I have never faced it. If it exists, it is really sad: Ranbir Kapoor in Mumbai on a question about #castingcouch in Bollywood", the actor said to ANI.

Popular singer Sophie Choudry also took to Twitter to condemn her comments. The Pyaar Ke Side Effects actress wrote, ''So much respect for Saroj-ji as a choreographer but this is how she uses her position to protect girls?!!! If I didn’t come from a financially sound background I would have returned to London within a month of being in Mumbai cos of “industry folk” who think like that!!’’

Furthermore, several people have also taken to Twitter to express their anger and disappointment over Saroj Khan’s remark.
