Akshay Kumar had the most hilarious response to his latest film Kesari’s official release. The film which is based on Battle of Saragarhi, released in theatres pan India on Holi, i.e. March 21. Not surprising though, it opened to humongous numbers of Rs 21.50 crore at the box office making it Akshay Kumar’s second-biggest opener. It broke the records of Gully Boy and Total Dhamaal by margins. Then what happened to Akshay Kumar that he chose to hid inside the bushes as his film released in theatres.

Talking about box office numbers, Kesari has performed phenomenally at the box office. It became the second highest opener of the actor after Gold which released last year. The film is based on the Battle of Saragarhi in which 21 soldiers of 36th Sikh regiment took around 12,000 Afghani invaders head-on and held the fort until help arrived from the adjacent forts. Akshay Kumar played the titular role of Havildar Ishar Singh who led his pack.
