This was followed by big hits 'Shaheed' (1948) with Kamini Kaushal, Mela the same year with Nargis, and Andaaz, which featured Dilip with Raj Kapoor and directed by Mehboob Khan.
The Fifties saw Bollywood dominated by the Big Three - Dilip Kumar, Raj Kapoor and Dev Anand. Dilip's hit movies were Babul, Deedar, Aan, Footpath, Devdas, Yahudi and Azaad. He worked with co-stars Meena Kumari, Nargis, Vyjayantimala and Nimmi.
