Busan: Superstar Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which was a runaway hit in India and Pakistan, swept the global audience at the 20th Busan International Film Festival.
Pawan and Munni's emotional story touched many hearts at the festival and the movie received a standing ovation.
The movie's director Kabir Khan took to Twitter to share the news.
“The biggest audience ever...#BajrangiBhaijaanInBusan 5000 people...Standing ovation...Amazing energy here,” Kabir tweeted.
The film was screened on Tuesday at the film gala, which began on October 1 and will culminate on Saturday.
Even before the event, Kabir Khan gave a glimpse of the theatre where the movie was supposed to be screened.
“Bajrangi Bhaijaan”, which narrates a story of how a man discovers love and affection while taking a Pakistani mute girl back to her country, won hearts and ruled the box office by surpassing the Rs.300 crore mark in India.
The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and child artist Harshaali Malhotra.
