Mumbai: The internet was abuzz on Thursday about former Pakistani cricketer Wasim Akram set to marry Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen and settle in Dubai, but Sushmita's spokesperson denied this as baseless.
"It's not true at all. In fact, Sushmita is having a show in Mumbai on the 24th of this month. I don't think she can have an event in Mumbai as well as plan her wedding simultaneously!", said the spokesperson.
Wasim and Sushmita had become friends on the sets of a dance reality show and they are going to take the relationship to the next level.
Sushmita Sen has two adopted daughters Renee and Alisah has been linked up with a series of Bollywood men like - Vikram Bhatt, Mudassar Aziz and actor Randeep Hooda. She was also linked to businessman Imtiyaz Khatri.
Last year, Sushmita had declared, “Yes, I do plan to get married next year. I think it is time. Ab Bahut wait karva liya sabko (I have made everybody wait a lot”.
The problem is Wasim Akram is reportedly seeing an Australian model and is living with her in Karachi currently.
