Pune, Jan 12 : Aashish Suvarnka, a man in Pune, was picked up by police this morning on charge of making abusive and threatening calls to actor-producer Pooja Bhatt. He is being questioned.
Pooja Bhatt had complained to Bandra police on January 9 that a man had been making abusive and threatening calls to her frequently.
The man had also made threatening calls and sent SMSes to her father filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt.
Pooja said, "The abusive caller not only attempted to intimidate me but also gave my father a missed call. The police agree that the fact that the caller had access to my father's and my mobile number is worrying and they shall investigate the motive behind the repeated calls.''
Pooja had also tweeted on Wednesday: "Have been getting threatening/obscene calls from... �. The male voice, obviously inebriated, abused me and threatened to come over."
