Mumbai: Cricketer Irfan Pathan has said goodbye to celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded. He quit the show midway in order to prepare himself for the preponed domestic Indian cricket season.
The bowling all-rounder from Baroda had joined the show as the first wild card entry. He has decided to donate his earnings to his cricket foundation.
Despite having two left feet, Irfan Pathan had succeeded in entertaining the audiences with his performances. However, Irfan's exit from the show is pre-planned and the cricketer seemingly had informed the channel authorities regarding his cricketing commitments earlier.
While leaving the show, Pathan gave some statements which will be aired this weekend, as reported by a leading news portal.
“The domestic cricket schedule, which usually starts in the second week of November, has been preponed and is starting on October 1,” Pathan said. “I will have to leave to start training for it. If I perform well on the ground, I will dance a little to celebrate,” he joked.
“I did not know how this industry worked and when I entered, I realised how big it is. I will miss everybody a lot,” Pathan said of his experience in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
With the news of his departure, Irfan Pathan fans will surely be disappointed. But, nothing to worry, the cricketer is coming back to perform not on the dance floor but the cricket field.
