New Delhi: The multi-starrer Finding Fanny was expected to get good foothold at multiplexes but the film is doing way beyond our expectations at box office making almost double the business of its companion Creature 3D.
Finding Fanny starring Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah and Dimple Kapadia in its first weekend has collected impressive Rs 19.90 cr nett in India, according to leading website Koimoi while Bipasha Basu starrer ‘Creature 3D' has managed mere Rs 11.36 cr.
The Homi Adajania directorial despite its English version and lesser screen numbers in comparison to Vikram Bhatt's directorial, is looking good at box office.
While both the flicks got a tepid response on the opening day, Finding Fanny, made on a short road trip, went ahead by the weekend and hopefully will continue to do so in the weekdays.
Good reviews and positive word of mouth have helped the flick garner more attention but the same didn't not happen for Creature 3D.
The creature-based drama neither could impress audience nor horror lovers and as a result, the flick is being entirely being declined at the box office.
Next Friday, once again, there will be two flicks facing off each other. On one side it will be Parineeti-Aditya's ‘Daawat-e-Ishq,' while on the other side we'll have Sonam-Fawad's ‘Khoobsurat'.
Both of the films have good content but, which among the two will win the battle at the box office, we'll have to wait and watch for that!
