The much awaited Salman Khan movie “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” failed to beat the collection of Baahubali on its releasing day.
SS Rajamouli's epic Baahubali had earned a whooping Rs 50 crore on its opening day while bajrangi Bhaijaan's net collections of the first day were Rs 27.25 crores.
However, the end of the Eid weekend on July 19 will be the deciding day for the Kabir Khan directed flick's business.
Bajrani Bhaijaan is Salman's second outing with director Kabir Khan. The movie comes second to Ek Tha Tiger as far as box office collections are concerned which earned Rs 32.93 crores on its first day.
The numbers are expected to rise over the weekend as movie goers stayed away from theatres due to Ramzan.
“Bajrani Bhaijaan” depicts Salman Khan as a hanuman bhakt who starts on a journey to Pakistan to reunite a lost child to her parents.
The film also stars Kareena Kapoor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and child artiste Harshaali Malhotra in crucial roles. So far the movie has received good responses from the critics and the net collections sight another huge hit for the superstar.
