New Delhi: SLB's ‘Bajirao Mastani' is having a ball at the box-office. After a rather slow start on Friday, this periodical drama has only gone from strength to strength in the days after.

The film collected Rs 10.52 crores on Thursday, taking its first week total to a massive Rs 86.15 crores.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the collections with his tweet.

Despite having heavy competition from Shah Rukh Khan's ‘Dilwale', the film held on its own and gave a tough fight to the competitor. It registered phenomenal growth over the weekend and remained extremely steady through weekdays.

‘Bajirao Mastani' has raced ahead of ‘Ram Leela' in first week collections which practically had same people associated with it - Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra and Eros.

‘Ram Leela', which had a better opening day and a better weekend as compared to this historical love saga, minted Rs 79.49 crores in its first week. And despite lesser screens and ‘Dilwale' factor, ‘Bajirao Mastani' has managed to race past the 2012 film.

This only goes to prove the power of word of mouth which has taken over in a big way for this film. This kind of trending of a film has never been seen before. The film has retained almost all the screens from first week with a minimal drop of 5% and with holiday season starting today, the film is headed towards some unrealistic collections.

Staurday – Rs 15.52 cr
Sunday – Rs 18.45 cr
Monday – Rs 10.25 cr
Tuesdat – Rs 9.40 cr
