New Delhi: Akshay Kumar's Baby seemingly is a clear winner at box office overshadowing the multi-starrer Dolly Ki Doli within just two days of its release. The Neeraj Pandey directorial has collected good Rs 20.47 cr nett by Saturday in India.

According to trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh, “Baby witnesses robust growth across plexes. Collects Rs 11.17 cr [early est] on Sat. Sun and Mon [Republic Day] should pack a solid punch.”

Being a patriotic film countering terrorism, the flick has garnered mostly positive response and with extended weekend due to Republic Day on Monday, BABY's collection is expected to grow immensely. By Monday movie should touch Rs 50 cr mark in India.

The movie which also stars Anupam Kher, Taapsee Pannu and Rana Daggubati in pivotal roles also has an upper hand since it is released in 2600 screens while Dolly Ki Doli enjoys 1600-1700 theatres alone.

Yet the number of screens for Abhishek Dogra's comedy caper is enough to fetch good figures at box office. But since it hasn't received much praises, Dolly Ki Doli earned trivial amount of Rs 5.99 cr in two days, according to a leading website Bollywood Hungama.

Meanwhile, compared to Akshay Kumar's last couple of flicks, BABY's collection is however lesser but with positive work of mouth it will catch the pace in the coming days.

Last year his 'Holiday' on its opening day collected Rs 12.18 cr and went on to enter Rs 100 cr club while ‘Entertainment' earned Rs Fri 11.16 cr on Friday and ended its box office run at around Rs 70 cr.

Let's see if his BABY makes magical figures at box office.
