Talking about the music of the film says A.R Rahman , “When Aanand narrated the script to me I was drawn to its Indianness..Raanjhanaa has an earthy Beneras feel to it and the music here plays a bigger role.It aims to tell a story” Adding that , “It has classical and folk elements that are character driven.The film has a rustic and urbane side to it which is reflected in the music”.
