Sadak 2: Sanjay Dutt and Alia Bhatt to expose fake godman
Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt starrer Sadak 2 is most definitely the much-awaited sequel fans have been waiting in Bollywood. While the announced of the film had made the fans super excited, new details about the film have hit the internet that has increased the buzz around the film. Reports suggest that Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt's characters in the film are all set to unmask a fake godman. The original Sadak, on the other hand, was a romantic thriller. The story revolved around the love affair of a taxi driver and a woman who was forced into prostitution and how he rescues her from the shackles of the racket.
Going by the reports in Mumbai Mirror, “Alia’s character is out to expose a fake guru who runs an ashram. She is accompanied by Sanjay Dutt’s character in this journey. Sanjay has already started prep with Bhatt saab. They start shooting in a fortnight." A few days back, Alia and Aditya Roy Kapur were snapped coming out of Mahesh Bhatt's office after reading the script of the film. On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt has already begun preparing for his character with director Mahesh Bhatt and the shooting for the film will start in a fortnight.

On the related note, when director Mahesh Bhatt was asked about the plot of Sadak 2, the filmmaker informed Mirror, “Sadak 2 is about love, loss, and redemption. To simplify a heartfelt narrative like this is to falsify it. You would be trivializing the essence of the film by suggesting that Sadak 2 is just this.” And when Mahesh Bhatt was asked as to who will be playing the role of the godman in the film, the filmmaker said, “Gulshan Grover is not playing the role but we have a great actor playing that part. But Gulshan plays a very important part as well.”
This is the first time that Alia Bhatt is uniting with her father Mahesh Bhatt for a film. The actress was asked about her experience and she revealed that she doesn't know her father as a director so it would be difficult to work with him. She said in a statement, "It will never be easy as I don't know him as a director, I know him as a dad. Working with him as a director will be a different ball game altogether. I am excited. It is an exciting film." She added, "My father is very silent on most of the things. But I still don't know how he will be on the sets."
Sadak 2 also stars anjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Pooja Bhatt.
