Raj Kapoor, the greatest showman of Hindi cinema has given plenty of films and soulful music which audience can cherish throughout their life. His movies are treasured by Hindi cinema lovers as they were emotionally hard-hitting. Raj Kapoor is the winner of several accolades including 3 National Film Awards and 11 Filmfare Awards in India. For unversed, the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award is named after the legendary actor. He was even a two-time nominee for the Palme d'Or grand prize at the Cannes Film Festival for his films Awaara (1951) and Boot Polish (1954). 

Raj Kapoor has gives gems such as Barsaat, Awaara, Shree 420, Sangam and many more. It is said that it took him six years to complete Mera Naam Joker (1970) which he produced, directed and even acted in it. He mortgaged everything he had and spent millions for the film but unfortunately it turned out to be box office dud. 

Raj Kapoor even introduced actresses like Nimmi, Dimple Kapadia and Mandakini including music directors Shankar-Jaikishan, and the lyricists Hasrat Jaipuri and Shailendra.
