The high-on-anticipation movie ‘Padmavati’ went on floors recently and all eyes are now on the end product. Cine buffs wish to see what magic filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali weaves on silver screen and as it happens they perhaps won’t get any glimpse from the movie. Reportedly, the makers are being extremely cautious in dealing with the looks of the characters.
Starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in pivotal roles, ‘Padmavati’ is the tale of Rajputa Queen Padmini. Padmini was married to Raja Rawal Ratan Singh and ruler Alauddin Khilji was mesmerised by her beauty.
To ensure that nothing from the sets leaks, SLB is reported to take few drastic steps. The cast of the movie will move from their vanity vans to the sets nestled in a moveable tent, told an insider to a leading daily.
The source added that there have been many speculations about the looks of the characters even before the movie started filming, so SLB is being extra cautious. To avoid unwanted intrusion, the security around the sets will be beefed up.
Apparently, this is SLB’s step to present his muses in a never-seen before avatar.
The source added that Deepika visited the sets on the first day though she had no sequences to shoot. She just came to wish the team best, a habit she has followed since her ‘Ram Leela: Goliyon Ki Raas-Leela’ days.
Guarding the looks of the characters to ensure nothing leaks before it does, is not something new for SLB. During ‘Bajirao Mastani’, he did not allow anyone to carry their cellphones to the sets and even prohibited family members of actors to visit. This included actress Priyanka Chopra’s mother Madhu Chopra.
With such a tight security around the movie, looks like viewers are in for a surprise with ‘Padmavati’.
