Kareena Kapoor, who played the leading lady in the last two ventures, has not been approached by Rohit Shetty this time because of her pregnancy.
The speculations were rife that Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone have been considered for the role but ABCD actress Shraddha Kapoor has reportedly beaten her.
As per the report published by an entertainment portal, Rohit Shetty was keen on casting a younger actress even before the ‘Golmaal 4’ was announced. And the director’s hunt for the actress has apparently ended on Shraddha Kapoor.

If these reports are to be believed, then it is definitely a fun addition in the kitty of ‘Aashiqui 2’ actress, who has several projects in her hands right now.
Presently, Shraddha is busy shooting for her forthcoming movie ‘Half Girlfriend’ based on the Chetan Bhagat’s novel by the same name. The movie also stars Arjun Kapoor in the lead role.
Besides that, Shraddha will also be seen in Rock On 2.
