Release of filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s much awaited political crime thriller ‘Sarkar 3’, which received much appreciation for its trailer, has been postponed.
Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Manoj Bajpayee and Yami Gautam starrer, ‘Sarkar 3’, which was scheduled to release on April 7 will not hit theatres on May 12.
Varma’s crime thriller, ‘Sarkar 3’ is postponed due to delay in post- production work.
The distribution partner of the film, Eros, revealed the news about the delay through his microblogging site Twitter.
Eros Now tweeted: ‘’ This delay is due to delay in post- production work! #Sarkar3’’.

While in an another tweet Eros also wrote that ‘’ We, at Eros along with @SrBachchan , @RGVzoomin and Wave took a mutual decision to postpone the release of Sarkar 3 to 12th May 2017!’’
‘Sarkar 3’ is Ram Gopal Varma’s third instalment of Sarkar franchise. In ‘Sarkar 3’, Amitabh Bachchan will be seen performing as Subhash Nagre (Sarkar). Manoj Bajpayee will be performing the role of Govind Deshpande, Jackie Shroff as Michael Vallya and Yami Gautam as Annu Karkare. Ronit Roy too will be featuring as Gokul Satam in ‘Sarkar 3’.
With this fresh release date, ‘Sarkar 3’ will reportedly clash with 'Meri Pyaari Bindu’, which stars Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead roles.
