#AGentleman shows limited growth on Day 2... Fri 4.04 cr, Sat 4.36 cr. Total: ₹ 8.40 cr. India biz.— taran adarsh (@taran_adarsh) August 27, 2017
The film which hit the theaters on August 25 is facing competition from Nawazuddin Sidiqui starrer Babumoshai Bandookbaaz and Yash Raj's Qaidi Band which has fresh faces. A Gentleman has not been well appreciated by critics and is garnering mixed reviews from viewers. The audiences not only get a chance to see two contrasting Sidharth Malhotra but also Suniel Shetty who is making a comeback with the flick. Raj & DK's last directorial Happy Ending didn't exactly had a happy ending at Box Office, however, their Go Goa Gone and Shor In The City were praised for its quirky style.
The 132-minute long movie revolves around the two characters played by Sidharth Malhotra who are identical in looks but not in mannerisms. Gaurav who is sundar and susheel is a strait-laced guy who has all materialistic things which men of his age would long for- a bungalow and a swanky car. He dreams of having a wife, kids, a dog and executes his plans keeping in mind his future goals. On the other hand, there is a risky and suave Rishi who in fact is an undercover agent but lives in a huge delusion of working for the nation. Fed up with his unethical profession Rishi wants to quit and settle down just like other civilians. How do their paths cross and what unfolds further forms the story.
