In a shocking incident, a government school principal was booked for allegedly raping a 23-year-old woman at his office in Mohanganj village, Amethi, police said on Tuesday.
According to the complaint, she went inside the school to get water where the principal forced himself on her on Monday. he victim alleged that the accused called her into his room at the school and raped her.
The accused principal threatened the woman and later fled from the spot, they said.
Superintendent of Police Ilamaran said an FIR under sections of rape has been registered in the matter and attempts are on to nab the accused.
The woman has been sent for a medical examination, the SP said.
Two minor girls gangraped in UP's Fatehpur
In another sexual assault case, two minor girls were allegedly raped by six youths in the district's Husenganj area.
Both the girls have been admitted to a government hospital where their conditions are said to be critical, , police said on Monday.
All six accused have been taken into police custody. Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar Singh said in a statement on his official Twitter account, "Two minor girls were returning home late in the evening on Sunday after seeing a traditional fair in a village under Husenganj police station area, when six youths gang-raped them.
"All the six accused have been identified and taken into custody by the police and action is being taken by registering a case under serious sections."
Deputy Superintendent of Police Veer Singh said the girls' condition is worrying and they have been admitted in a government hospital for treatment. The accused are being interrogated, he added.
