Former Mumbai Police chief Param Bir Singh's statement is part of the ED's supplementary charge sheet against NCP leader Anil Deshmukh who is now in judicial custody.

The crime branch of Mumbai Police, which is probing the case, had sought the proclamation, saying that the IPS officer could not be traced even after the issuance of a non-bailable warrant against him.
This is the third non-bailable warrant issued against Param Bir Singh, which has been issued in connection with the extortion case registered at the Marine Drive police station
