A special Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) six-member team brought the 46-year-old Karti Chidambaram from New Delhi to Mumbai this morning and took him to the Byculla Women's Jail, where Indrani Mukerjea is lodged.
In her statement recorded by the CBI under Section 164 of the CrPC, Indrani alleged that P Chidambaram had asked her and her husband Peter to help his son’s business.
Special CBI Judge Sunil Rana allowed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to interrogate Indrani for two days after the agency sought three days custody and directed that she be brought before it on February 7.
