IPL 2022, DC vs RR Highlights: RR win by 15 runs after last over drama

DC 187/6 after 18 overs: Boult bowled well, but Powell's power reigned in the end. Hit him for 2 sixes. 15 runs from the over, and DC need 36 runs from the last two overs.

The equation has come down to 51 off 18 balls. Powell on strike. Boult to bowl the 18th over. Here we go...

It's getting really difficult for DC now. RR in total control. I wonder why Powell is being held back. The Capitals needs 74 in the last 30 balls.

OUT! Now Shaw bites the dust. R Ashwin gets him. DC were looking good from the last few overs. But this wicket has come against the run of play for them. 

OUT! Another failure for Sarfaraz Khan as he departs for 1 against R Ashwin. The right-hand batsman goes for a sweep and finds Prasidh Krishna at square leg. Two wickets in two overs for RR. DC need a partnership and quick runs to stay in the game. Captain Rishabh Pant joins Shaw in the middle. 

OUT! Prasidh Krishna draws first blood as David Warner departs for 28 in 14 balls. In a big runchase like this, the Australian was trying to hit every ball for a boundary. After hitting two boundaries on first two balls of the fourth over, Krishna bounced back to remove the dangerous Warner. Sarfaraz Khan joins Shaw in the middle. The duo needs to continue with required run-rate of 12. 

DC need 223 to win this game. They do have the firepower to pull this off, but it is going to take a monumental effort. Stay tuned!

RR 202/2 after 19 overs: Mustafizur to bowl the penultimate over. Buttler greets him with a boundary and follows it up with a six. OUT! And there's the wicket for DC. Buttler is back in the hut. Tried to hit over long-on, but is out caught. Wonderful innings from Jos. 

RR 188/1 after 18 overs: 21 from the Khaleel Ahmed over. Samson the man for RR. Rajasthan is all over Delhi.

RR 158/1 after 16 overs: And there it is. Third 100 of the season for Buttler and he is not looking to stop.  

OUT! Khaleel comes back into the attack and gets Padikkal out LBW. Something to cheer for Delhi Capitals.  Buttler just a single away from his third 100 of the season. What an absolute masterclass he has put on today. 

RR 155/0 after 15 overs: Buttler at it again. He has dismantled Kuldeep Yadav here. 19 from the over. Two sixes followed by a four, and Buttler is on 99. 

RR 137/0 after 14 overs: Buttler is teeing off here. Has raced away to 82 in no time. Now Padikkal completes his fifty. Anything below 220 for RR now would be a disgrace. 

RR 110/0 after 12 overs: 17 runs from that Lalit Yadav over. Buttler and Padikkal are on fire in Mumbai. Mustafizur comes back into the attack and delivers a relatively quiet over. 6 off it. 

RR 87/0 after 10 overs: Shardul comes back into the attack. Quiet over till now. Especially after the last over from Kuldeep went for 15 runs. Oh no, Buttler gets hold of this short ball from Thakur, launches it over deep mid-wicket for a six. 9 from the over. DC need wickets. Fast.

RR 63/0 after 8 overs: Axar Patel comes into the attack, and Butter looks to go after him. Big heave from Jos, the ball takes the inside edge and rolls over towards fine leg. Padikkal gets hold of him. Axar dishes it in the slot, and Padikkal slop sweeps it over deep mid-wicket for a massive six. Another hit-me ball from Axar, and Padikkal accepts.Going down leg and he sweeps it for a boundary towards fine leg.  

RR 44/0 after 6 overs: Khaleel comes in to bowl the last over of the powerplay. First ball and Buttler launches it over mid-wicket for six. Another six on the fourth ball. A bit short from Ahmed and Jos takes full toll of it as he launches the ball over mid-wicket.

RR 26/0 after 4 overs: Mustafizur comes into the attack and bowls all over the place. First bowls a juicy half-volley, Padikkal goes for a loft over extra-cover and gets an outside edge that runs over point for a boundary. Now balls one on the pads, and Padikkal just glances it for a boundary towards fine leg. Another boundary. This time he creams it to covers. Hat-trick of boundaries for Padikkal. Good over for RR. 

RR 9/0 after 2 overs: Shardul comes into the attack and gets Padikkal on the pads. The umpire isn't interested. Shardul convinces his skipper to go for the review. DC reviews. It's pitching outside off, and Delhi loses a review. Quiet over after that.

RR 8/0 after 1 over: Swing for Khaleel straightaway. A couple of peach outswingers from Khaleel. Another one, this time Buttler was expecting an inswinger. Khaleel bluffs and dishes out another outswinger, the ball catches the top edge, and foes over point for a boundary. Ahmed putting on a swing masterclass. Another outswinger and Buttler guides it past third man for a boundary. 

Alright, Jos Butter & Padikkal is out for RR. Khaleel to start the attack for DC. Here we go...

Ponting himself has tested negative twice subsequently. However, in the best interest of the team, the management and medical team has decided that he will remain in isolation for five days, as he was a close contact. He will, therefore, not be present at the ground for tonight’s game against Rajasthan Royals. The franchise requests for Ponting and his family's privacy to be respected in the current scenario. The condition of all individuals in the bubble who have tested positive so far is being closely monitored.
