7th July marks the birthday of one of the most influential and calm cricketers of all time - Mahendra Singh Dhoni who turns 36 today. Known for his calm and composed on-field approach, Dhoni is one of the calmest heads when it comes to handling the pressure situations. Confidence and self-belief have been Dhoni's primary assets as no one can handle the adverse situations better than this man from Ranchi. 

Since making his debut in 2004, MS Dhoni has been the reason for billions of smiles and has made the country proud innumerable times while donning that India outfit. He has played 296 ODI matches, 90 Tests, 76 T20I for Team India. Dhoni's arrival in Indian cricket and his ensuing rise has been a tale for all to tell as he was aggressive without being brash right from the very start of his cricketing career. His success does not depict an inch of arrogance as his humility is the main cause of his focused and concrete aim to clinch victories. The upcoming cricketers look up to MS Dhoni as a role model. 

He is the only captain in the world to win 3 ICC Trophies including 2007 World T20, 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy. India have recorded 27 Test wins under Dhoni's captaincy bettering the record of former captain Sourav Ganguly who registered 21 Test wins. Considered as one of the most successful Indian skippers of all-time, Dhoni has led India to the most number of wins in ODIs and T20 under his leadership. 

MS Dhoni has truly been an inspiration when it comes to conducting himself on and off the field for every budding cricketer. Be it his strong work ethics, his role of a finisher in the past decade for India or his lightning quick reflexes behind the wicket - Dhoni possess all along with a shrewd cricketing brain which has helped India to conquer various milestones in world cricket.
