The Bihar chief minister said: "Yes, I did not sell tea in trains, but I am the son of a freedom fighter. My father was a vaidya, and my mother used to do farming, and she is no more.
"To claim one is a backward is not important, what's important is what have you done for the backwards?
"Madhu Limaye, V P Singh, Raj Narain, Chaudhry Charan Singh were not from backward communities, but they did a lot for the backwards. And what are his (Modi) policies? What is his foreign policy", asked Nitish Kumar.
